I don't remember how old I was when I finally realized that I wasn't actually related to "Aunt Marcia". That was disappointing. But I can't imagine a better choice for godparents. The light, and the sweet fragrance that always emanated from Aunt Marcia, was a tangible touch of Jesus, and always felt like a warm welcome. Such an amazing soul will be missed beyond words. Your family has been and will continue to be in my prayers.
How do I count all the impact Marcia made in my life? We both enjoyed finding a great deal at Macy’s or Marshalls. Often we both had the same piece of clothing in our wardrobe. Other days we traded clothing just to have fun. In December of 2022 she sent me her beloved Chatham sweater. I popped it right on after opening it on Christmas morning.
We adored eating lunch at Wildflower Cafe topping it off with a generous piece of key lime pound cake. Marcia was a member of our Unbook Club which was a wonderful experience of sharing ideas about books we all loved. Everyone in our group was part Norwegian. Most of us ate Lefse and grew up in the Midwest.
My heart is heavy, but I know Marcia is an Angel meeting and greeting new arrivals .
Love to all of the Swenson Family. ♥️ Adrianne
David, John, Scott and Kari,
I am so saddened to hear of your loss. Marcia was always so friendly and welcoming and always had a smile. I’ll miss seeing her in the neighborhood as well as bumping into her in shops in town. You are all in my prayers.
