William Kent Danekas, age 56, of Hinckley, IL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in Hinckley, IL. He was born on September 24, 1956 in Sycamore, IL the son of Wilfred E. and Beverly (Thomas) Danekas, Jr.
Bill was united in marriage on October 22, 1983 to the former Janet Boesche and they spent the next 29 happy years together. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Danekas was a lifelong member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hinckley, IL where he served on various committees over the years. Bill?s passion was farming which began at an early age working with his father on the family farm and continued his entire life. While in high school he worked for Beecher Hog Farms and was formerly employed for several years by DeKalb Ag. Bill also worked with Mike McCrea for many years at McCrea Plumbing and Heating of Hinckley, IL. He was member of the Hinckley Lions Club and a longtime volunteer on the Hinckley Fire Department. Bill was a member of the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. He liked to snowmobile with his friends and also enjoyed singing with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Danekas of Hinckley, IL; his daughter, Jennifer (fianc? Jason Simon) Danekas of Milwaukee, WI; his mother, Beverly Danekas of Hinckley, IL; his brother, Ronald Danekas of DeKalb, IL; his sister, Sharon (Dave) Coleman of Sycamore, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Danekas.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 12760 Lee Rd., Hinckley, IL with Rev. Christopher Navurskis officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Hinckley, IL.
Friends may visit from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple St., Hinckley, IL.
