Warren Lee Bud Parish

Warren Lee ?Bud? Parish, age 84 of Sycamore, IL passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb, IL. He was born on July 20, 1926 in Big Rock, IL the son of Russell and Eva (Stolp) Parish.
Mr. Parish served his country proudly with the United States Army, during WWII. Bud was united in marriage on April 5, 1946 in Big Rock, IL to the former Miss Alvina Ruth Keenan and they spent the next 64 happy years together until her passing on June 3, 2010. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hinckley, IL. Bud had worked on several farms in the Big Rock area and then was employed as a machinist and ended his career as the Big Rock Township Road Commissioner. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by all that knew him.
Bud is survived by his children, Cynthia (Darrel) Evans, Rebecca (Jim) Leeser, Stephen (Patricia) Parish, Rendell Parish, Jill Ihssen, Jacque Brown, Bradley and Brian Parish; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Sharon) Parish; as well as, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Eva Parish; his wife, Alvina Parish; his grandson, Timothy Evans; his siblings, Chester, Albert, Fay and Grace Parish Lewis.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the English Congregational United Church of Christ, 301 Rhodes Street, Big Rock, IL with Reverend Kenneth Kramer officiating. A luncheon at the church will be served immediately following the Funeral Service, then entombment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hinckley, IL.
