Thomas Otto Morar

Thomas Otto Morar, age 44 of Leland, IL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his home. He was born on September 17, 1978 in Naperville, IL the son of Gregory and Jerri (Murr) Morar.

Tom received his education in Naperville and Sandwich, IL. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks. Everyone that knew him was always coming to him to ask for advice on their vehicles. He was like family to everyone who knew him. Tom was always there to listen to his children, friends, and neighbors and to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his five sons, Brian, Tommy, Jacob, Sebastian and Nate Morar; his parents, Gregory and Jerri Morar; his siblings, Joseph (Theresa) Morar and Katie (Randy) Wilkinson; his nieces and nephews; Amanda Morar, Isabelle Wilkinson, Jesse Morar and Randy Wilkinson. He also stepped in to be a great father figure to Leah, Soni, Andrew and Rebecca Hayden as well as a grandfather figure to Asher, Aira Hayden; Hayden and Charlee Krantz.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as his best friends, Matt Weir and Bryan and Brandon Hughes. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1275 South Countyline Road, Sandwich, IL. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL.
