Thelma I. Spandet, age 96 of Morris, IL passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Morris Hospital and Health Care Center in Morris, IL. She was born on May 10, 1914 in Minonk, IL the daughter of Ervin and Linnie (Shaw) Monroe.
Thelma was united in marriage on January 14, 1934 to Mr. Harold Spandet and they spent the next 70 years together until his passing on June 15, 2004. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will by deeply missed by her family and friends.
Thelma is survived by her son-in-law, John ?Jack? Clemens of Naperville, IL, her granddaughters, Carol E. Wissmiller of Yorkville, IL and Alice M. (Paul) Augustyniak of Naperville, IL; her great-grandsons, Andrew and Aaron Augustyniak; as well as, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her huband, her daughter, Jeanette E. Clemens, her granddaughter, Diane Clemens, a sister, Hazel Mendenhall and a brother Melvin Monroe.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway in Yorkville, IL with Pastor Dennis Norby officiating. Interment will follow in the Pavillion Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.
