Steven T. Gary, age 61, of North Aurora, IL formerly of Sandwich, IL passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Aurora, IL. He was born on August 12, 1961 in Aurora, IL the son of Gene and Donna (Huss) Gary.
Steve attended St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Sugar Grove, IL. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends at the Wild Rose Club in Aurora, IL. Steve will be long remembered as a talented artist. Steve was known for his “Yeah Baby!” saying and his ability to be happy no matter what life threw at him. He never complained and was constantly in a good mood. Steve was a loving son, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Steve is survived by his mother, Donna Gary of Sugar Grove, IL; his siblings, Art (Brenda) Gary of Yorkville, IL, Dean (Pam) Gary of Sandwich, IL, Gwen (Pat) Bockman of Sugar Grove, IL, Jim (Sue) Gary of Sandwich, IL, Phil (Shari) Gary of Brooklyn Center, MN, Vince (Patti) Gary of Sandwich, IL, Don (Joy) Gary of Beverly Hills, FL; his brother-in-law, Daniel McCormick of FL; and his good friend of many years, Steve Banks of Aurora, IL; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded by his father, Gene Gary; and his sister, Marianne McCormick.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8S055 Dugan Road, Sugar Grove, IL. Interment will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Sandwich, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:30 AM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Sugar Grove, IL.
