Steven E. Jacobson

Steven E. Jacobson, age 62 of Newark, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 4, 1952 in Aurora, IL the son of Donald and Virginia (Edwards) Jacobson.

Steve was united in marriage on January 29, 1977 in Aurora, IL to the former Miss Ann Dornan and they spent the next 37 happy years together. Mr. Jacobson was employed for 40 years by Aurora Blacktop. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and nephew who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his wife, Ann Jacobson of Newark, IL; his children, Laurie (Chad) Stacks of Sandwich, IL, Kim (Ken) Smith of Sandwich, IL, George Six of Ottawa, IL and Michael (Michelle) Six of Ottawa, IL; his eight grandchildren, Jessicah, Jonathan, Ashley, Courtney, Kyle, Morgan, Alex, and Bailey; his three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Alaina, and Andrew; his brother, Jeff (Sandra) Jacobson of Herrin, IL; his sister, Diane Loomis of Coebum, VA; also his uncle, Fred Edwards of Wilmington, IL; a forever daughter-in-law Melanie Six; and a sister-in-law Kathy Day.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Virginia Jacobson; and his sister, Cheryl Green.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
