Scott Thomas Grandys, age 48 of Sandwich, IL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born on January 24, 1964 in LaGrange, IL the son of Thomas Walter and Nancy Ellen (Derris) Grandys.
Scott was an active member of the Open Door in Sandwich, IL. He had many hobbies including collecting cards and poker chips. Scott also enjoyed electronics. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Scott is survived by his mother, Nancy Grandys; his brothers, Charles and Dale Grandys all of Sandwich, IL; and his two nieces, Emma and Lauren and his nephew, Levi Grandys; as well as, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Grandys.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South Street, Plano, IL with Deacon Daniel Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will follow to the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Sandwich, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
