Rosario Salazar

Rosario , age 74 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Friday, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on November 7, 1938 in Big Spring, TX the daughter of Francisco and Isabel (Gonzales) Gonzales.
Rosario was united in marriage on June 10, 1961 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Aurora, IL to Mr. Jose G. Salazar and they spent the next 50 happy years together until his passing on August 19, 2011. Mrs. Salazar was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Aurora, IL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and Godmother, who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Rosario is survived by her children, Beatriz Salazar, Esteban (Kristin) Salazar and Estela Salazar, all of Yorkville, IL; her grandchildren, Alexander Esteban and Aiden Joseph Salazar; her special niece, Carol (Pablo) Candelaria; her siblings, Jose (Maria) Gonzales, Eloisa (Lupe) Rodriquez, Alicia (William) Jewett, Daniel (Clarice) Gonzales, Lupe Gonzales, Maria (Raul) Gonzales, Miguel Gonzales, Raul (Barbara) Gonzales, Belia (William) Tune, Lucy Gonzales, Trine (James) Fox, David (Jess) Cole, Gilbert (Cheryl) Gonzales and Maria Borjon; her Godchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose G. Salazar; her grandson, Lucas Salazar; and one brother in infancy, Miguel Gonzales.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 722 High Street in Aurora, IL with Father Jerry Leake, officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
Friends may visit from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countyside Parkway in Yorkville, IL.
