Robert Phipps

Robert Phipps, age 78 of Plano, IL passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 14, 1931 in Chicago, IL the son of Winston and Bernice (Paschen) Phipps.
Robert was united in marriage on April 26, 1952 to the former Muriel Cuthbertson and they spent many happy years together until her passing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Phipps served his country proudly as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Robert was stationed at Burtonwood Air Force Base in England where he met his wife, Muriel. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Cedardell Golf Club in Plano, IL.
He is survived by his children, Diana (Arthur) Mercier of Aurora, IL, Wendy (Thomas) Cartmell of Woodbury, MN, and Robert (Tiffany) Phipps of Newark, IL; his four grandchildren; and his three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Bernice Phipps; and his wife, Muriel Phipps.
