Ray Alan Muellner, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 6th, 2023 at the age of 63. He was born on July 19th, 1960 as the son of Donald and Lois Jean (Peterson) Muellner.
Ray was united in marriage on October 27th, 1989, to Karen Onorato and they spent the next 33 years happily together. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed nothing more than golfing and fishing with his family and friends. He owned a framing and construction business for many years. Ray was a skilled carpenter and woodworker and had the most unique ability to bring his creative thoughts into reality.
Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Ray is survived by his wife, Karen Muellner of Plano, IL; his children, Megan Muellner of Billings, MT, Anthony Muellner of Plano, IL, and Nicholas (Chloe) Muellner of Hinckley, IL; their grandson, Mackson Muellner; his brother, Don (Sandy) Muellner of Aurora, IL, Scott (Sue) Muellner of TX, and Jeff (Michelle) Muellner of LaFox, IL; also, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Wykel.
A funeral service will be held from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday October 11th at the Nelson Funeral Home located at 1617 North Bridge Street in Yorkville, IL for all friends and family. Interment service will begin Thursday, October 12th at 10am at the funeral home which will then proceed to Oak Grove Cemetery in Bristol, IL.
