Ramsey L. Cronfel, age 85 of Elk Grove Village, IL passed away in Elk Grove Village, IL on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. He was born on April 16, 1937 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras the son of Emilio and Amelia (Larach) Cronfel.
Mr. Cronfel was united in marriage on September 26, 1964 to the former Miss Ellen Khoury and they spent the next 58 years happily together. Ramsey was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having obtained the rank of Lieutenant prior to his discharge. He was employed for many years as a mechanical engineer, having helped designed several nuclear power plants throughout the country until his retirement. Ramsey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Ramsey is survived by his wife, Ellen Cronfel of Elk Grove Village, IL; his son, John (Camille) Cronfel of Elk Grove Village, IL; his grandchildren, Maya, Emma and Alex all of Elk Grove Village, IL; his sister, Semi Karam of Louisiana; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Amelia Cronfel; and his son, James Cronfel.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Queen of the Rosary Catholic Church, 750 W. Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove Village, IL. Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the church in Elk Grove Village, IL.
