Olivia F Norris

Olivia F. Norris, age 103, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Hillside Rehab & Care Center in Yorkville, IL. She was born on February 8, 1908 in Andover, SD the daughter of Joseph and Veronica (Peoples)Schuring.

Olivia was united in marriage in 1935 to Mr. John S. Norris and they spent the next 38 happy years together until his passing in 1973. Mrs. Norris was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL and its Ladies Auxiliary. Olivia enjoyed canning, baking cookies, crafts and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Teresa M. (Howard) Shick of Bristol, IL and Neil Norris of Yorkville, IL; her thirteen grandchildren; her thirteen great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandson; her brother, Robert (Theresa) Schuring of Andover, SD; her sister-in-law, Jessica Norris of Streator, IL; her son-in-law, Gene Terry of Bristol, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,John S. Norris; her daughter, Carol Terry; her grandchildren, Thomas Shick and Sue Robbins; her sisters, Anna Schuring and Josephine Baadt; and her broters, Lawrence and Frederick Schuring.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St. in Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy in Yorkville, IL.
