Mary Jo Peters, age 85 of Walworth passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Golden Years Health Care Center in Walworth.

She was born June 8, 1929 in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Hildegard (Hovey) Robinson. She married Glenn Peters September 14, 1947 in Fontana, WI. He preceded her February 16, 2022.

Mary Jo was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Walworth and loved Quilting and Gardening.

She is survived by her children Christine Reynolds of Elkhorn, Richard (Gale) Peters of Darien, WI, Michele (Kent) Miller of Walworth, Daniel Peters of Darien; daughter-in-law Diane Peters Hawker; ten grandchildren Natasha (Jeff) Konz, Michael (Shelly) Peters, Jennifer Peters, Jessica (Dave) Clark, Nicholas (Amanda) Peters, Jason (Kelly) Peters, Adams (Rebecca) Peters, Matthew (Sheila) Peters, Tierney Dalton and Brandon Peters; sixteen great grandchildren; and two sisters Marjorie Plote and Jeanne Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, a son Gary and a brother Kenneth Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday December 24, 2014 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walworth with Rev. Jeffrey Tomberlin officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 until time of service Wednesday at church.

The family suggests memorials to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Chris and family. Your mom was "momma Jo" to BJ as a little one but to "George" and myself mainly cause we were like family including when we got in trouble. Mike and I have always treasured her singing The Lords Prayer at our wedding. My u feel God's presence during this sad time but know u will be reunited with her again. She was a very special person. To All Family: I am "Murphy's" groomer, and I just want all to know how much I adored Mary Jo. She held so many wonderful traits...such a strong woman. But what always struck me the most about her as a person, and human being, was the constant kindness she held for others, and the sunshine that followed her around her everyday life. I know she is surely surrounded by that same sunshine now...I was so glad to have her as a friend! My prayers and love for her, and for you all left behind. Colleen Condon I hope to attend the service tomorrow, but just found out today, and not sure if I can make it. I'll say my thoughts to Mary Jo personally.
