Marlene Rae Haagensen Larson

Marlene Rae Haagensen Larson, age 75 of Macomb, IL formerly of Hinckley, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb, IL. She was born on January 26, 1936 in Waterman, IL the daughter of Carl J. and Anna (Thomas) Haagensen.
Marlene was united in marriage on June 12, 1955 in Hinckley, IL to Mr. James Joseph Larson and they spent the next 46 happy years together until his passing on July 30, 2001. Mrs. Larson was a talented vocalist who loved music. She was also an avid doll collector with an extensive collection. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Jayme and her husband, Stanley Bubb of Macomb, IL and Angela Larson and her husband Jeff DeJoode of Macomb, IL; her grandsons, Christopher Joseph Pilger of Long Beach, CA and Joseph Haagensen (Amanda) Pilger and great-granddaughter, Amelia Pilger of Monmouth, IL; her sister, Carla (Robert) Dixon of Bettendorf, IA; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl J. and Anna Haagensen; her husband, James Joseph Larson; her sister, Cleo Hartman and her nephew, David Dixon.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 North Maple St. in Hinckley, IL with Keith Sheed, officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley, IL.
Friends may visit from 12:00 until the Hour of Service on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Funeral Home in Hinckley, IL.
