Marion R. Bazan

Marion R. Bazan, age 75 of Yorkville, IL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on in Sandwich, IL the daughter of Dale A. and Florence M. (Fiddler) Dannewitz.
Marion was united in marriage on December 3, 1955 at the First Methodist Church in Sandwich, IL to Mr. Stephan Bazan and they spent the next 55 happy years together. Marion was a member of the Yorkville Congregational Church in Yorkville, IL and was very active in its Joy Circle. She was a member of the Kendall County Home Extension and also the Kalico Kwilters. Marion was, for many years, a Kendall County Election Judge. Marion was a wonderful homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed baking as a hobby and made special occasion cakes for family and friends throughout the state. Marion was, for a number of years, The Grand Champion Baker, at the Sandwich Fair and was chosen in 1994 to represent the Fair on its Official Logo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Bazan of Yorkville, IL; her children, Stephanie (Joel) Jerabek of Huntington, IN, Stephan (Jean) Bazan of Yorkville, IL, Brenda (Larry Peterson) Bazan of Aurora, IL, Brian (Deanna) Bazan of Plano, IL and Brent (Christy) Bazan of Bloomington, IL; her grandchildren, Stephan, Michael, Jennifer and Jessica Jerabek, Staci (Brian) Olson, Jill (Nathan) Cryder, Beth Bazan, Hannah and Matthew Bazan, Benjamin and Caroline Bazan; her one great-grandson, Nicholas Jerabek; her brother, Harold (Ginger) Dannewitz of Sandwich, IL; her two sister-in-laws, Carrol Olsen and Sue Dannewitz; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Dwaine and Marvin Dannewitz.
