Margaret J. Kick

Margaret J. Kick, age 79 of Ottawa, IL formerly of Yorkville, IL passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011. She was born August 5, 1932 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Franz Joseph and Mary (Padgett) Aldenbrook.
Margaret was united in marriage on February 4, 1950 in Richmond, IL to Mr. Louis E. Kick and they spent the next 61 happy years together until his passing on April 7, 2011. She was a longtime and very devoted member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville where she participated in several Bible Study groups and sang in its choir. Margaret was also a member of several area bowling leagues. She enjoyed quilting and making blankets for her large family and many friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be dearly missed.
Margaret is survived by her children, Debbie (Scott) Leahy, Sue Bullock, Kim (Doug) Leifheit, Jenise (Chuck) VanHessen, Mary (Terry) Compton, Carl (Heidi) Kick, Chris (Linda) Kick and Andrew (Rebecca) Kick; her 25 grandchildren; her 25 great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Juliana Kick; her sister-in-law, Lucian Aldenbrook-Skinner; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis E. Kick; her son, Albert Kick; her brother, Franz Joseph Aldenbrook, Jr; and her step-sister, Beverly Justen.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 28, 2011 at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Rt. 47, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Erik Gauss, officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Yorkville, IL.
