Josefina Rosales De Garcia, age 80, of Plano, IL passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. She was born in Mexico on April 19, 1942 the daughter of Nicanor and Jeronima (Lopez) Rosales.
Josefina was united in marriage on March 19, 1968 to Felipe Garcia and they spent the next 54 years happily together. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL. Josefina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Felipe Garcia of Plano, IL; her children, Oralia (Carlos) Martinez of Plano, IL, Alicia (Rilando) Nunez of Plano, IL, Erica (Mauro Pacheco) Garcia of Sandwich, IL, Blanca (Edgar Aponte) Garcia of Plano, IL; her twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother and sister; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Josefina was preceded in death by her parents, Nicanor and Jeronima Rosales; as well as her four sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 6, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1001 N. Center Avenue in Plano, IL. Interment will follow in Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.
Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South Street in Plano, IL.
