John P. Krupa, age 91, of Yorkville, IL, formerly of Hinsdale, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013. He was born on April 1, 1922 in New Castle, PA the son of George and Louise (Dulkie) Krupa.
Mr. Krupa was united in marriage on July 16, 1949 to the former Germaine McKenzie and they spent the next 64 happy years together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
John served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army during WWII. He was the owner, for over 30 years, of John P. Krupa Landscaping in Hinsdale, IL. John was a member of both the Yorkville American Legion Post #489 and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Germaine Krupa of Yorkville, IL; his daughter, Jackie (Richard) Straub of Yorkville, IL; his granddaughter, Rachel (Tim) Miller of Yorkville, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise Krupa; his three brothers; and his four sisters.
hideA Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville, IL. Private interment will take place in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
