John Carl Klein, age 54, of Hinckley, IL passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Pine Acres Rehab & Living Center in DeKalb, IL. He was born on August 9, 1954 in DeKalb, IL the son of Frank T. and Hazel (Gunderson) Klein.

John was a member of St. Paul?s United Church of Christ in Hinckley, IL. He was employed by Opportunity House Inc. in DeKalb, IL. John was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed swimming and bowling.

He is survived by his brothers, Ronald G. Klein of DeKalb, IL and Roger (Irene) Klein of Hinckley, IL; his sister, Linda (James) Means of Dover, MA; his 3 nieces and 3 nephews; as well as 15 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hazel Klein; and his sister-in-law, Karen Klein.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple St., Hinckley, IL.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at St. Paul?s United Church of Christ, 324 W. McKinley Ave., Hinckley, IL.
