Jared Knispel

Jared David Knispel, age 16, of Plano, IL, formerly of Urbana, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born on July 20, 1997 in Chicago, IL the son of David J. Knispel and Lauri Safford.

Jared just completed his sophomore year at Urbana High School in Urbana, IL. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Urbana High School Golf Team. Jared was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America and was working toward becoming an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his parents, David Knispel and Lauri Safford of Plano, IL; his brothers, Tyler and Sean Knispel of Plano, IL; his maternal grandparents, Caryl and Don Safford of Woodridge, IL; his paternal grandmother, Boots (Robert) Knispel-Schmidt of Aurora, IL; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Knispel.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the United Methodist Church of Plano, 219 N. Hale St., Plano, IL with Pastor Kent Svendsen officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.

Friends may visit from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy., Yorkville, IL.
