Everyday Janice woke up and infused the world with sunshine that touched those around her. She had a generous heart, a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, a quick wit and freely gave out warm hugs to all. Her family teasingly called her “The Mayor” because she made friends wherever she went. Jan excelled as an accountant at Arthur Andersen and retired to travel the world with her husband, and always her hero, Al. A day shared with Jan was a day filled with fun, food and a dash of silliness. Her sparkling personality will be forever and deeply missed.
Visitation is Friday October 20th from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville Il. Jan’s favorite color was yellow so wear a dash of it in her honor. Jan’s family welcomes you to bring a written memory to leave and/or share with us on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Shriners Children’s hospital,
shrinerschildrens.org, or to your local food pantry. Please share a smile with a neighbor, a compliment to the person in the grocery line, a hug to those who need one and love to all. Jan will be the beautiful spirit next to you sharing her love and smile one more time.
