Jane E. Low

Jane E. Low, age 97 of Waterman, IL passed away on Sunday, at the Bethany Healthcare and Rehab Center in DeKalb, IL. She was born on June 27, 1916 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Philip L. and Ethel C. (Doyle) Getzinger.
Jane was united in marriage on June 2, 1944 in Warrenville, IL to Mr. Charles Stanley Low and they spent the next 33 happy years together, until his passing in 1977. She graduated from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Mrs. Low was a former Home Economics Teacher having taught in Michigan, the Hinckley-Big Rock Grade School and 15 years in the Sandwich School District. Jane worked side by side with her husband Stanley, farming on their homestead southwest of Waterman, IL. She was a member of the Waterman Methodist Church in Waterman, IL. Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Jane is survived by her children, Richard (Theresa) Low of Waterman, IL and Susan (Keith) Littlejohn of Newark, IL; her daughter-in-law, Beverly Low of Smyrna, TN; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley Low; her son, Charles Low; one great-granddaughter, Megan Zak and her brother, Retired Colonel Philip S. (Cathy) Getzinger.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 East Garfield Street in Waterman, IL with Reverend Paul Lee, officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Grove Cemetery in Waterman, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Funeral Home in Waterman, IL.
