James W. Dillard, age 73, of Plano, IL passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on July 6, 1935 in New Albany, MS the son of J.B. and Lois (Speck) Dillard.

James W. Dillard, age 73, of Plano, IL passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on July 6, 1935 in New Albany, MS the son of J.B. and Lois (Speck) Dillard.
Jim was united in marriage in Aurora, IL on February 6, 1960 to the former Miss Allie Ferguson and they spent the next 49 happy years together. Mr. Dillard and his family attended Plano Christian Church in Plano, IL. Jim was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed, for 30 years, as a Machine Operator with Caterpillar, Inc. in Montgomery, IL until his retirement. In his spare time, Jim especially enjoyed working on lawn mowers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin who will be deeply missed by both family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Dillard of Plano, IL; his children, Christine (Dave) Wilson of Lexington, SC, Pauline (Wes) Orstead of Plano, IL and Scott (Dianne) Dillard of Rochelle, IL; his nine grandchildren; his brother, Wilburn (Joann) Dillard of Aurora, IL; his sisters, Shirley Simpson of AR, Sylvia Podschweit of Bristol, IL and Ruby (Lanny) Jakub of AZ; as well as several aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Lois Dillard; three brothers and one sister.
