Jacqueline J Zbinden

Jacqueline J.”Jackie” Zbinden, age 82 of Waterman, IL passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. She was born on October 20, 1938 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Nicholas and Lucille (Bennett) Dahm.

Jackie was united in marriage on February 7, 1959 to Mr. Gerald W. Zbinden and they spend the next 52 happy years together until his passing on June 29, 2011.  Mrs. Zbinden was a member of the Waterman United Methodist Church.  Jackie loved crocheting for her family and friends and she enjoyed birdwatching.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Jackie is survived by her children, Steve (Teri) Zbinden of DeKalb, IL; Shari Zbinden of Waterman, IL; Toni Espy of Cortland, IL; Todd (Caroline) Zbinden of Hinckley, IL; and Mark Zbinden of Chicago, IL; her 7 grandchildren; her 9 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Dahm of Sandwich, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Lucille Dahm; her husband, Gerald W. Zbinden; her brother, James Dahn; and her sister, Betty Quigley.

A Private Memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
