Frances Dombeck

Frances Dombeck, age 87 of Shabbona, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Prairie Crossing Living and Rehabilitation Center in Shabbona, IL. She was born on June 28, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Antonio and Vincenza (Venuso) Brucci.

Frances was united in marriage on November 8, 1947 to Mr. George Dombeck and they spent 48 happy years together until his passing on November 25, 1995. Mrs. Dombeck was a longtime and devoted member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard, IL. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Frances is survived by her children, Mary Malitzke of Shabbona, IL and George (Sherryl) Dombeck of Elizabeth, IL; her daughter-in-law, Susan (John) Curtiss of Rockton, IL; her seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Kimberlee, Richard, Michael, Jody, Brian and Ashley; her six great-grandchildren; her sisters, Antoinette Pastore of Naperville, IL, Theresa Unhock of Corpse Christi, TX and Phyllis Hinger of Naperville, IL; also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Vincenza Brucci; her husband, George Dombeck; her son, Antony “Rick” Dombeck; her son-in-law, Jeffrey Malitzke; and her brother, Phillip Brucci.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2015 at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 8S055 Dugan Road in Sugar Grove, IL. Interment will follow in the Assumption Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum in Wheaton, IL.

Friends may visit from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 East Garfield Street in Waterman, IL.
