Eva Marie Leland, age 79 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at her home. She was born on March 25, 1931 in La Crosse, WI the daughter of William R. and Anna I. (Hufford) Welsh.
Eva was united in marriage on June 22, 1947 in Aurora, IL to Chester D. Leland and they spent 49 happy years of their lives together until his passing on September 9, 1996. She and her husband, Chester, were the former owners and operators of the House of Plenty in Sugar Grove, The Bungalow in Yorkville, The Barley Fork Restaurant in Yorkville and The Country Charm Gift Shop in Yorkville. Eva enjoyed several hobbies playing bingo and doing crafts projects.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Dr. Gary) Schlapp of Yorkville, IL and Jeanne (Paul) Rossaert of Yorkville, IL; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Gene Morton) Allman of Somonauk, IL, Todd (Leah) Schlapp of Colorado Springs, CO, Nicole (Nick) Kulbartz of Newark, IL, Stephanie (Chris) Funkhouser of Yorkville, IL and Nicholous Rossaert of Yorkville; her eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Bonnie (Butch) Blumeyer of Oregon, IL, Pat Boehmke of Las Vegas, NV and Delores (Doug) Boehmke of Norway, IL; her sister-in-law, Carol Honaker of Aurora, IL; as well as, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chester D. Leland, and her sister, Barbara Hansel.
