Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL. A private interment will follow.
Elspith Desulis, age 93 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at her home. She was born in Chicago on July 1, 1917, the youngest daughter of James and Janet (Home) Anderson.

Elspith Desulis, age 93 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at her home. She was born in Chicago on July 1, 1917, the youngest daughter of James and Janet (Home) Anderson.
Elspith met her future husband Dr. Bruno Anton Desulis at the Marlboro Presbyterian Church in Chicago and they were married on October 1, 1938. They moved to Beardstown, IL in 1940. While Bruno practiced medicine, Elspith was also an active member of the community involved in the Hospital Auxiliary Board, The Women?s Club, and all of her family?s activities. They then moved to Yorkville, IL in 1996 where they spent the remainder of the 69 years of marriage until Bruno?s passing on June 15, 2008.
Elspith loved reading, gardening, cooking, and most importantly, her family.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
Elspith is survived by her son, Thomas (Nancy) Desulis of Frederick, IL her daughter, Janet (James) Hissong, of Yorkville, IL and her daughter-in-law, Marcia Desulis of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Kathryn Desulis of New York, NY, Michael (Jennifer) Desulis of Frederick, IL, Craig Hissong of Los Angeles, CA and Richard Desulis of Richmond, VA; and her great-grandchildren, Brian and Eric Desulis of Frederick, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. Bruno Anton Desulis, her son, Stanley Desulis, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Herndon, and her sisters, Margaret Jackson, Jessie Hall and Elizabeth Erickson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL. A private interment will follow.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness, or VITAS Hospice Care.
