Donald D. "Corky" Englebrecht

Donald D. “Corky” Englebrecht, age 85 of Delavan, WI formerly of Walworth, WI passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI.

He was born June 8, 1929 on a farm where they lived in Harvard, IL the son of Otto and Ella (Sidler) Englebrecht.  He married LaVonne (Bonnie) Young, June of 1957 in Walworth.  She preceded him March 11, 2012.

Don served in the Army from 1953 – 55.  He was a carpenter and also worked at Kikkoman Foods in Walworth.  He and Bonnie owned and operated Bon-Don Kennels for many years and they showed German Shepherds at many Dog Shows and helped found the Janesville Show.

He is survived by his brother LeRoy (Norma), two nieces in Gilbert, AZ nephew Harlan Young and niece Connie Fairchild.  Dorothy Morrison, cousin of Bonnie was his caregiver; and special dog friends Mary Kaiser and Kent Boyles.

Private services will be held.

Memorials may be made in Don’s name to “Take the Lead”
