David C, Reppy

David C. Reppy, age 86, of Somonauk, IL passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at The Pavilion on Main Nursing Home in Sandwich, IL. He was born on June 30, 1937 in Aurora, IL, the son of Clarence and Rose (Lowry) Reppy.

Dave was united in marriage on October 4, 1958 to Barbara L. Katzenberger and they spent the next 64 years happily together. Mr. Reppy was employed for 42 years as a truck driver with the Teamsters Union, until his retirement. He farmed for many years in the area and was an avid outdoorsman. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.  Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by his family and friends.

Dave is survived by his wife, Barbara Reppy of Somonauk, IL; his sons, Jeffrey (Jean) Reppy of Oswego, IL, Scott Reppy of Plano, IL and Todd (Lori) Reppy of Yorkville, IL; his grandchildren, Jonathan Reppy of Spring Grove, IL, Justin (Hannah) Reppy of Sugar Grove, IL, Jason Reppy of Oswego, IL, Emily and Sydney Reppy of Yorkville, IL; his great-grandchildren, Ava Giandonato, Ella, Mason and Joseph Reppy of Spring Grove, IL; his brother, Dale (Teresa) Reppy of Eustis, FL; his sister-in-law, Eleanor Uphoff of Loma, CO; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rose Reppy; his son, in infancy, Michael Reppy; his daughter-in-law, Pamela Reppy; his grandson, Chad Ostreko; his sisters, Della (Harold) McElhone, Deloris (Alvin) Thorson, Diane (Richard) Beane; his brother, Donald (Lois) Reppy; also his brothers-in-law, Karl Katzenberger and James Uphoff.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
