Charles Richard Mabry

Charles Richard Mabry, age 75 of Plano, IL passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 18, 1937 in Salem, IL the son of Charles and Helen Lorene (Quayle) Mabry.
Charles served his country proudly with the United States Army. He was united in marriage on January 31, 1959 to the former Linda Lee Alexander and they spent the next 53 happy years together. Mr. Mabry was a member of First Baptist Church, Plano, IL. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at the coffee shops with his many friends. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his many family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife, Linda Mabry, Plano, IL; his daughters, Kimberly Ann (Scott) Killey, Plano, IL, Christine Jay Mabry, Plano, IL and Karla Lynn (Chad) Dierdorff, Leland, IL; his seven grandchildren, Joshua Harvey, Tiffany (Mitchell) Andrews, Rebecca (Alex) Pickett, Ryan Killey, Kelly Desponett, Samantha and Sidney Dierdorff; his seven great-grandchildren; his brothers, Bill (Juanita) Mabry, Mt. Carmel, IL and David (Carol) Mabry, Phoenix, AZ; his sisters, June (Thomas) Andrews, Allendale, IL and Peg Grimms, Mt. Carmel, IL; also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Mabry; his son, Kelly Wayne Mabry; and his sister, Susan Gray.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 23, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano, IL with Pastor Jason Hladik, officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery, Plano, IL.
Friends may visit from 1:00 until 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 22, 2012 at the Funeral Home, Plano, IL.
