Bonnie R Straub

Bonnie R. Straub, age 78 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 24, 1933 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of William and Hazel Swatos.
Bonnie was united in marriage on August 6, 1955 to Mr. Donald R. Straub and they spent the next 56 happy years together. Mrs. Straub attended Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. Bonnie was a very talented vocalist and soloist during her membership at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Burr Ridge, IL. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Donald Straub of Yorkville, IL; her sons, Richard (Jackie) Straub of Yorkville, IL, David (Julie) Straub of Downers Grove, IL and Bruce (Marcia) Straub of Naperville, IL; her grandchildren, Rachel, Katie, Becky, Carrie, Pat and Mark Straub; her sisters, Wilma (Leonard) Lindahl of Stickney, IL and Juanita Swatos of Oak Brook, IL; as well as three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Swatos; and her brother, Bill Swatos.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Rt. 47 in Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow at 1:30pm in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
Friends may visit from 3:00 until 9:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street in Plano, IL.
