Birdie Irene Williams

Birdie Irene Williams, age 98, of Waterman, IL passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Prairie Crossing Living and Rehab in Shabbona, IL. She was born on August 18, 1915 in Tupelo, MS the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jaggers.

Irene was united in marriage in 1933 to Albert Williams and they spent the next 71 happy years together until his passing in 2004. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Irene was formerly employed at both DeKalb Ag in Waterman, IL and Rossi Pizza in Waterman, IL. She enjoyed cooking and made many beautiful quilts for her family and friends. Irene will always be remembered for her good natured sense of humor.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Fred (Laurie) Williams of Amboy, IL and Jerrell Williams of Waterman, IL; her grandchildren, Steffanie (Terry) Barringer of DeKalb, IL, Terry (Heather) Braffet of Earlville, IL, Marcie (Mike) Mysliwiec of Colorado Springs, CO, and Dennis Williams of Compton, IL; her six great grandchildren; her one sister; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Williams; several brothers and sisters; and her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Williams.
