A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM, with a visitation one hour prior to service, on Friday, April 27, 2012, at the First Lutheran Church, 200 North Center Street in Plano, IL.
Bertha Louise Mealey, age 89 of Plano, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Hillside Rehab and Care Center, Yorkville, IL. She was born on March 26, 1923, Buckley, IL the daughter of Martin Henry and Milda Marie (Wolf) Steinmann.

Bertha Louise Mealey, age 89 of Plano, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Hillside Rehab and Care Center, Yorkville, IL. She was born on March 26, 1923, Buckley, IL the daughter of Martin Henry and Milda Marie (Wolf) Steinmann.
Bertha was united in marriage, October 25, 1944 to Earl Hamilton McMillion, the father of her children. She was later united in marriage, January 27, 1973 to French Mealey. Bertha was a fashion illustrator and enjoyed painting, drawing and other artistic pursuits, as well as fishing and reading. Mrs. Mealey was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church and served in many capacities throughout her life. She attended St. John?s Lutheran School, Buckley, IL. She has lived in South Elgin, IL, Addison, IL, Florida and for the past twenty years, Plano, IL. Bertha was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, James Lee McMillion, Payson, AZ, Kathleen (William) French, Omaha, NE, Randall Earl (Carol) McMillion, Oswego, IL and Peggy Louise (Russ) Wilkinson, Yorkville, IL; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Myron (Elaine) Steinmann, Phoenix, AZ; her sister, Alice (Stanley) Nelson, Elliott, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, Martin and Milda Steinmann; her sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Budd Dippel; and her nephew, Dennis Dippel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM, with a visitation one hour prior to service, on Friday, April 27, 2012, at the First Lutheran Church, 200 North Center Street in Plano, IL. She will be laid to rest in her home town of Buckley, IL.
Memorials in Bertha?s name may be directed to the First Lutheran Church. Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street in Plano, IL.
