Benjamin Alex Jorgenson Sr.

Benjamin Alex Jorgenson Sr., age 35, of Streamwood, IL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was born on October 20, 1987 in Aurora, IL the son of Ronald and Frances (Jones) Jorgenson.

Ben attended the Plano Bible Church in Plano, IL in his younger years. He was a graduate of Sandwich High School in Sandwich, IL. Ben was a skilled machinist employed by Camcraft in Bartlett, IL. He enjoyed fishing and ice fishing and making the holiday turkey for his family. Growing up Ben collected many exotic pets. He was always concerned about the welfare of others and was a loving father, partner, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving family, especially his sons, Ben Jr. and Jack; his partner, Mayra and her children, Britany, Arturo, Josue and extended family; his brother Joe; his sister, Ronessa (Tyler) Krienitz and their daughter, Cameron; his father, Ron; his grandmother, Linda Jorgenson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fran; his grandfather, Ron Jorgenson Sr.; and his grandparents, Janet and Jack Jones.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in the Fowler Grove Cemetery in Big Rock, IL.

Friends may visit from 2:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
