Beatrice Smith

Beatrice Smith, 91 of Aurora, IL passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was born December 24, 1921 in High Bluff, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Edward and Edith (Hill) Allen.
Beatrice was united in marriage May 26, 1951 at the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ in Yorkville, IL to Charles Smith and they spent 32 happy years together until his passing. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Aurora and the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ, Yorkville, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher. Bea was a member of the Women of the Moose Aurora Chapter #83 and the Friendly Center, Aurora. Mrs. Smith was for several years the Owner of the Bee Hive Restaurant in Yorkville. Bea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Beatrice is survived by her children, Tom Smith, Plano, Pam Hurm, North Aurora, Cheri (Jim) Neumann, Sugar Grove and Scott (Lisa) Smith, Newark; her grandchildren, Jonell Smith, Jennifer Runkle, Andrew Machuca, Lisa Hurm, Jaime, Ryan, and Erin Neumann, Amy Smith and Eric (Becky) Smith; also many special nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Smith; and brother, Lionel (Florence) Allen.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 25, 2013 at Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Yorkville, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
