Barbara Ann Schmidt

Barbara Ann Schmidt, age 81, of Yorkville, Illinois passed away on June 4, 2012 at the Willowcrest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich, Illinois. She was born on November 17, 1930 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Anthony and Adele Potyen.
Barbara was united in marriage on to Mr. Martin Schmidt and they spent many happy years together until his passing on July 12, 1970. She later was united in marriage to Mr. Rhiene Schmidt and they spent many happy years together until his passing in December of 1977.
Barbara was a hard working lady and took pride in the care that she gave to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her children, Martin (Cindy) Schmidt Jr., of Yorkville, IL and Steven Schmidt of Palatine, IL; her grandson, Scott (Alison) Schmidt of Grovetown, Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Adele Potyen; her first husband, Martin Schmidt; her second husband, Rhiene Schmidt; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Schmidt; her brother Anthony Potyen Jr. and her sister, Antoinette Netzinger.
A private family memorial service will take place in July at Techny Towers, Techny, IL. Interment will take place in Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights, IL. Memorials to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
