Anders B. (Andy) Enger

Anders B. Andy Enger, age 72, of Serena, IL, formerly of Yorkville, IL passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on March 31, 1937 in Sandwich, IL the son of Arthur and Bertha (Jacobson) Enger.
Andy was united in marriage in Aurora, IL on July 25, 1963 to the former Miss Betty Shaver and they spent the next 46 happy years together. Mr. Enger owned and operated his own trucking company and was also a farmer. He was a member of Helmar Lutheran Church in Newark, IL. Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a wonderful friend to many who will be deeply missed by both family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Enger of Serena, IL; his children, Andy Enger, Jr. of Serena, IL, Alice (Fred) Morel of Millington, IL, Elizabeth (Lester Jr.) Sexton of Sheridan, IL, Melody (Paul) Peek of Easton, SC, Lynette (Charles) Bergeron of Plattville, IL and Beth (Pete) Enger of Sandwich, IL; his 22 grandchildren; as well as, his 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bertha Enger; his daughter, Brenda Enger; and his uncle, Gussy Enger.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Helmar Lutheran Church, 11935 Lisbon Rd in Newark, IL with Pastor Dennis Norby, officiating. Interment will follow in West Lisbon Cemetery in Lisbon, IL.
Friends may visit from 1:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy in Yorkville, IL.
