Amanda Hansen Burrows

Amanda Hansen Burrows of Derby, England originally from Wheaton, IL, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2014. Amanda was born December 4, 1984 in Aurora, IL the beloved daughter of Pam and Harris Hansen. She is survived by her parents; siblings, Ryan Murphy and Shannon Murphy Jackson; niece, Brittany Delk; nephews, Nathan Murphy, Kyle Jackson, Brandon Jackson, and Colin Jackson; grandmother, Helen Talty; and many aunts and uncles, cousins and other family members.

Amanda was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Burrows of Derby, England, from leukemia on December 2012; her sister, Erin Murphy; brother, Michael James Murphy II; and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Otto Hansen.

Amanda graduated from Wheaton High School, received her bachelor?s degree from Butler University and received her master?s in Theater at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Amanda spent 3 months of marriage in 2012 with her soul mate, Phil, before he succumbed to leukemia. Amanda joined a support group and, with her inner strength, she was getting her life back. Her co-workers remembered her as a ?kind soul, always trying to meet the needs of others.? Amanda recently played in a short film and had hopes of continuing her acting career. Amanda will be remembered as a king hearted, loving, sensitive, brave young woman and a talented actress.
