Alice M Malinsky

Alice M. Malinsky, age 94, of Morris, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Morris Community Hospital in Morris, IL. She was born on November 7, 1917 in Stockholm, Sweden, the daughter of Thure and Signe (Carlson) Peterson.

Alice was united in marriage on July 3, 1942 to Mr. Russell W. Malinsky and they spent the next 56 happy years of their lives together until his passing in 1998. Her husband, Russell, was for many years, the owner of the Gage Park News Agency in Chicago, IL. She was a member of the Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. Alice liked bird watching, gardening, ceramics, and enjoying the company of her friends, the ?Club Girls?. She loved her family and never missed a chance to be with them for birthday parties, weddings or holidays. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-Grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Lois (Curt) Johnson of Yorkville, IL, Robert (Shar) Malinsky of Salt Lake City, UT, Susan (Kent) Hanneman of Plano, TX and Richard W. (Linda) Malinsky of San Jose, CA; her grandchildren, Debbie (Terry) Carter, Keri (Shane) Blanton, Wendy Hetzel, Kari Holding, Scott (Barbara) Pearson, Russ Malinsky, Julie Malinsky, Amy (Vaso) Kovijanic, Joe (Kiala) Hanneman, and Ryan Malinsky; her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Shaye, Signey, Brandon, Laina, Zach, Brittany, Jessie, Jessica, Erika, Cody, Taylor, Savanna, and Aubree; her great-great-grandchildren, Haliee and Owen.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Thure and Signe Peterson and her husband, Russell W. Malinsky.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Route 47 in Yorkville, IL. Following the memorial, Alice will be laid to rest at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
